Alpharetta Adapted Sports Complex

Three years of planning and dedicated effort have gone into developing the Alpharetta. Adapted Sports Complex, home of the North Metro Miracle League. It is a truly unique facilty shared by people with and without disabilities.

Attention to detail, accessisbility and universal design has created a proto-type for future adapted sports facilities across the country. Any design element that unnecessarily differentiates between people with and without disabilities has been eliminated. Universal design plays a major role in the structures we build, the material we write and the programs we design.

Most phases of the complex are complete. They are:

  • Northside Hospital Field
  • Bank of North Georgia Seating Terraces
  • North Fulton Rotary Accessible Playground
  • Ronald McDonald House Family Pavillion

Our next goal is the construction of a Family Center, the concession stand and restroom facilty. This structure will also house an office area, meeting room, storage spaces and a privacy suite (a combination restroon/first-aid area). Completion is scheduled for mid September 2005.
