- Location: NMML Sports Complex & Learning Center, Alpharetta’s North Park.
- Saturday game days.
- Tuesday / Thursday evening Special Olympics travel team practice.
- Wednesday evening Skills Clinics open to all athletes.
- Dates: Spring and Fall 8 week seasons.
- Current age range: 4 – 92.
We embrace every athlete no matter how profound the disability, cognitive, physical, medical or any combination of same.
A parent or guardian must remain at the field during the game. No DROP OFFS.
Each athlete has an able bodied “Buddy” that helps keep the player focused and safe. There is a great social aspect to the “Buddy” program also. Most buddies are high school, middle school and faith-based youth group volunteers.
If necessary, an adult volunteer will serve as the buddy.
We 5 levels of competition so we appropriately serve and challenge each athlete.
All coaches are certified by National Alliance of Youth Sports.
More than 50% of coaches are Special E. Professionals.
We have an EMT on site for every game day.
Games are played on Saturdays.
Each game lasts 1 hour.
Except for our Special Olympic Teams all games are played on the accessible / artificial surface field.
The $45 fee includes team shirt, hat and basic medical coverage.
